This Grade II listed building, located within the Finsbury Circus Conservation Area and previously used as a night club, was remodelled by KS design into a Bavarian Beer Hall.
The project was of a particular significance for Kolja, given his Bavarian heritage, and started with the complete strip out of the interior of the building that led to the discovery of some lightwells closed off by the previous owners.
KSdesign, working closely with other consultants, reshaped all premises, including the ground floor Beer Hall, downstairs restaurant, staff and kitchen area.
To contribute creating an authentic Bavarian atmosphere handmade furniture and wood panelling were imported from Bavaria.
The client was introduced to KSdesign by another client following successful previous collaboration and led to Kolja working on another Biershenke project in London.
KSdesign were involved in all RIBA stages of the project including design, planning and listed building consent, Building Regulations and working drawings.
